About
The sociology of the body, health and physical and sports activities.
This vast research theme is focused on the sociological study of the body, health, and physical and sports activities (PSA). We are currently working on the issue of social inequalities in health (nutrition and PSA) in a perinatal context, as well as on the evaluation of sports programs in school settings in Quebec. Our studies focus on social class, gender and age as major axes of social stratification. All our work requires the collaboration of multidisciplinary teams, made up of researchers in the social sciences and health sciences, as well as specialists in quantitative and qualitative research methods.
